                                   LABORATORY ASSISTANT

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma; a certificate/diploma in laboratory science, chemistry, biology, or a related field is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques and safety procedures.
• Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy when handling equipment and reagents.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Previous experience in a laboratory setting is an advantage but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up materials, chemicals, and equipment for practical sessions.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the laboratory.
• Assist in stock management of chemicals, glassware, and other supplies.
• Support teachers/scientists/technicians during experiments.
• Safely dispose off laboratory waste in line with safety regulations.

Keep accurate records of laboratory use and inventory
