Gardening and Breeding Club
**Gardening and Breeding Club**
Today, the Gardening and Breeding Club of BIMS had an enriching experience! The club paid a visit to an impressive rabbit farm in the Nyakabiga quarter, owned by the Youth Association, which is dedicated to providing excellent care for the rabbits. Fourteen enthusiastic students joined the trip, along with three supportive adults.
The excitement was palpable as the children were given the opportunity to hold a rabbit! Their curiosity led them to engage with the farm keeper, asking insightful questions about rabbit care. They inquired about distinguishing between male and female rabbits, the number of babies a mother can have at once, their diet, the birthing process, the growth of the babies, urine collection, common diseases, and possible treatments.
This hands-on experience not only thrilled the children but also equipped them with valuable knowledge that will help them start their own rabbit farm at school! It was truly uplifting to hear them singing the school anthem on the bus as they headed back to school: “BIMS is the place I want to be!” This experience will surely inspire their future endeavors in gardening and animal care.
