BIMS Philosophy
Dr. Maria Montessori revolutionized education in the early twentieth century, and even today, children benefit from her innovative education philosophy.
Children respond to the environment they find themselves in, and from their earliest days in the Bujumbura International Montessori School; BIMS, our children continue their journey by exploring and discovering the wonders of the environment around them. This Montessori philosophy is maintained from our Crèche section through to A Level classes in Year 13.
The excellent British Edexcel curriculum prepares our students for future opportunities to seek placement in universities throughout the world thus enabling them to prepare to become future leaders wherever life takes them. Education being a partnership between the family and the school, the staff of BIMS is dedicated to giving every child the very best start on the road to success.
And when parents, staff, and students work together, hand in hand, we should remember that famous phrase of President Obama, “Yes, we can!”
